On the 8th of august my grandparents took me to the lake district for a birthday treat.
We got up that morning and i was that exited that i nearly wet my self (ha ha).
Me and my grandma put our make up on whilst my grandad put our suitcases in the car.
I took a magazine to read on the way but i was SO excited that i couldn't keep my mouth shut.
We were on our way when we had to stop off at some coffee place and we had to go to the toilet
and we had a coffee.
We were off again finally we got there it was a beautiful , posh and big hotel we went up to our room and it overlooked the lake Ullswater and overlooked the BIG Mountains. It was a beautiful day we had dinner and
went back to our room.
The next day it was pouring with rain and we went to the markets and the shops and bought some souvenirs for my mum and dad. But it didn't spoil our day.
That very night we went down to dinner and we talked to these lovely old people they were talking about how lovely the hotel was and the lake Ullswater.
Then after dinner it all went silent and the lights went off i got really scared and my grandma and grandad
said it was i power cut.
But then i heard people saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU and all of a sudden i twigged
that they were singing it to me they brought the cake to me and i blew the candles out and had a bit of cake and went back up to the hotel room.
I thanked my grandma and grandad loads of time after that.
